Diamond Back Super Streak Introduction

The Super Streak was introduced in 1984 and was built into 1985. It was a a high quality street rider and race bike aimed at 8 to 14 year olds. Although Taiwanese made, it shares a similar look to the Formula 1 Koizumi model that was produced in the same year, both sporting small gussets and both bikes being stick tails.

Diamond Back Super Streak Identifying characteristics

Super Streaks can be identified by the following characteristics.

  • A serial number on the bottom bracket beginning with either F4 or F5
  • A stick tail rear end (rear stays are two pieces of tubing each side)
  • A regular rear brake bridge – not to be confused with the bat wing brake bridge on Formula 1s
  • A diamond shape cut out of the rear dropouts
  • A slightly laid back seat post, similar to Silver Streaks, Vipers and Medium Pros
